sheer

breaking seasonal conventions, sula presents sheer silks and cottons for autumn/winter 2025. sheer fabrics are loosely woven from fine threads. they require skilled makers to cut and sew to create the required precision (any flaws are highly visible!).
sula’s crisp silk organza and diaphanous cotton and silk voile weaves are dyed in an exquisite neutral and black and white palette. some fabrics feature tiny abstracted flower prints that echo our amplified winter knit motif. despite its delicate appearance, silk is one of the strongest and most elastic natural fibres available.
worn next to the skin these sheer fabrics celebrate the modern female body. they can also be worn layered, over one of our signature bias-cut silk slips – see our new frill dress styles in organza print and silk cotton voile, round collar shirts and elastic top skirt – or beneath our new corset top, snug knitwear or multiple jacket styles.

sula sources exceptional fabrics from artisan textile weavers in the tuscan city of prato, japanese craftspeople and the best british mills. we ensure our products are made ethically at each point of production from weave to hand-stitched garment finishing.
