our new styles dolls blouse and dolls dress were inspired by a vintage christening dress which alison found at a flee market whilst on a trip to japan. we fell in love with the amazingly exaggeratedly a-line shape. when we created our own dress inspired the christening dress we added three box pleats on the front and back adding volume to the skirt and giving it a swinging movement. we wanted the rest of the dress to be simple, leaving it collarless and with tiny buttons .

one of the dolls blouse and dolls dresses, shown above, is cut in a very wonderful italian washed and crushed character cotton called belice, one of our stand out fabrics from this collection. yellow is often seen as a hard colour to wear but this amazing soft gold seems to suit everybody who tries it, accentuating your summery glow. the belice ones have tiny hand made wooden buttons on the front which are painted cream then rubbed down to reveal the dark under coat.
