we hope you are enjoying our aw24 collection which is now available on our website. we are so pleased with the photoshoot which shows the collection off and thought we would give you a bit more insight into the days proceedings.

we shot our autumn winter 2024 look book at alison’s home in sussex. we have worked with photographer will morgan for many years now and it is always such a joy to see him. this season we were joined by kelia who was very pleased to have the company of alison’s cat dewina on set. winter photoshoots /weather. you can see kelia to the left wearing our new ‘big skirt‘ which is made from masses of gathered silk cotton satin, with this we added our flight tie top, the inside is soft wool while the outside is shiny rayon.
our aw24 photoshoot day was a chilly february day with a bright sun shining in through the windows, we were warmed up by lots of fresh mint tea and a fire which kelia used to warm her toes between shots. we had an amazing lunch cooked for us by alison’s husband amir which involved tossing an aubergine on the fire to make it smoky. we also feasted on rice, crispy potatoes, home made bread and salad.

will has an amazing way of working with light, using whatever natural light is at his disposal and bringing the magic out of it with carefully placed additional lights. we shot the lookbook in front of a window with a silk patchwork curtain draped over it. making will’s job of ensuring kelia did not appear silhouetted a little trickier, but he made it look easy.
kelia looked wonderful in the winter collection her long dark hair was a beautiful contrast against the the pallette of palest violet, sage, olive, stucco, elephant ear and silvery greys, darkest navy, gold and rusty red.
how we put our ethos into practice
it is lovely to take this time to reflect on our photoshoot, importance is placed upon enjoying the process and taking our time to ensure that the end result is something truly beautiful. emphasis is on transparency and trustworthiness throughout our entire process, this can be seen in our photoshoot where our models don’t wear make up or have their hair styled, our photos are not retouched, meaning the clothes you see in our images are truly the clothes which will arrive at your door. Our team is small—just a handful of us, and we take a pared-back, minimalist approach to styling. The focus is entirely on the collection, letting the clothes speak for themselves. While the day moves quickly, there’s a calm energy that permeates, there are beautiful things all around us and many moments of laughter.
