it's that time in the year when seasons collide. sula is a hive of activity as we three women juggle work for three collections, past, current and future.
Hannah flowerday
sula's profile series continues. introducing hannah flowerday, our production manager who has been part of the team since 2017, discover her love of colour and nature.
the thorn dress
This dress was inspired by traditional Mexican shapes. The only exception is the neckline, although the traditional huipil blouses did not have a curved neckline.
inspired by vintage cloth
In Vietnam our production team have been busy marking up the cloth for cutting and stitching. Meanwhile, by the sea, we are cutting final pieces of material and checking patterns.
the making of a sweater
We are making Scroom sweaters for iconic New York Store ABC Home. there is a Metal and pearl trim as well as the side zips, these were found in Chandni Chowk market in Delhi
the sula studio
Our beautiful fabrics all around the studio, hand painted backdrops which you will see used in our photographs, like with our clothes there is hidden corners of beauty everywhere you look.
the fabric dying process
At the moment we are dying fabric and mixing colours. After much experimentation, when we are happy with the swatch, it then goes to the dye house to be copied.
