Versatility and longevity are central to Sula’s ethos
We love making garments fully reversible giving you two options in one garment. After extensive research we sourced a gorgeous, snug, wool/rayon, japanese reversible fabric that is soft and fluffy wool one side, sheeny rayon the other. It is called Flight and for Autumn Winter 2024 it is made into tie-fastening jackets, corset shape tops, a waistcoat style garment with pockets and a gathered back which is called ‘body warmer’ and a flared skirt.
Colour and colour combining is at the forefront of our work. This season’s luxury textiles and yarns are offered in an exquisite palette that includes the palest violet, sage, olive, stucco, elephant ear and silvery greys, darkest navy, gold and rusty red.
hand loomed knitwear for AW24
Hand-loomed knitwear, in luxury yarns, is prominent for this autumn winter 2024 collection. In addition to our classic alpaca/merino cardigans with hand-painted wood buttons, we offer a new range of bonnets; all-enveloping ultra-large scarves and smaller tippet scarfs knitted in alpaca/merino. A tie vest comes in a luxury cashmere/cotton with festive sparkle.
what’s new for autumn?
We offer two new dress designs in our autumn winter 2024 collection. Shepherdess dress features a hand-smocked bodice and large collar inspired by agricultural smocks and roomy patch pockets. And, an oversize, man-tailored style shirt dress is offered in a crisp, city stripe, or cotton poplin. Dewey dress has become a collection mainstay and this season comes in striped poplin and cotton satin.
Sula’s popular fleece garments – sweaters, waistcoats and tie-vests – have a Victorian shrunken look with the cotton satin lining extending the fabric borders; they are offered in cream; elephant skin grey and darkest navy, some with contrasting coloured lining.
A new tailored wide-legged trouser and flare pants are made in a velvety cotton in deepest navy. Japan pants are offered in silk/cotton satin in classic and with a new wider leg; mud pants come in snug cotton flannel and tin pants feature a front side, button fly, opening; drop crotch, back and side pockets.
Team these with our man-style striped shirts; long poplin shirts and slip-on sunny shirt with hand-stitched front patch, pleated back and deep banded hem. Sheet silk tulle slashed neck T-shirts are edgy, romantic and ideal for layering.
And, over these, throw on full-length Lundy coat with balloon-shaped lower sleeves; Paris jacket which is an elegant bomber-style made in “flight” or our new oversize Stan jacket.
