some behind the scenes images from creating aw24, we started choosing fabrics and designing all the way back in October 2023.
creating this collection we focused on versatility in each piece, it is important to us that our clothes are useful, well loved and often worn.
our little mallin vest has been so well loved by our customers over the years we wanted two create a sister style, and so the tie vest was born, we have made the tie waistcoat in the same fluffy wool as the mallin vest and also a sparkly cashmere.
we really leaned into finding special fabrics for this collection while making aw24, there was a wide variety of amazing fabrics of incredible quality, finding innivitave new ways to create warm winter clothing which still feels elegant and exciting.
shirts became a central focus to this collection, with gorgeous striped japanese cotton shirting we made a variety of different shapes, experimenting with collars, yokes and cuffs.
Our trousers were made in classic shapes but we wanted to make them extra cosy as this is what we wear all the time in the sula studio. we used soft velvety cotton as well as cotton flannel which have a cosy dry handle. we used a shiny ‘flight’ fabric to make shiny jackets, coats and skirts which has a a warm soft wool side and the option for this to sit against your skin.
